Tova Friedman is just four years old when she is deported to a concentration camp with her mother, and at six, she arrives at Auschwitz-Birkenau. What she experiences there will shape her for a lifetime: unspeakable suffering, but also unwavering hope and a love whose strength achieves the unimaginable. As one of the few, she knows what it means to have seen a gas chamber from the inside and to be able to speak about it today. What it means to hide among the dead in order to survive.
