Achim Reichel, who has been at home on stage for almost 60 years, looks back on his life. In 2019, to his greatest surprise, he celebrated his 75th birthday – and a lot has happened that is worth telling: In the sixties, he achieved success as the frontman of the Rattles, became a pioneer of Krautrock in the seventies, released an album with shanties and sea songs, set poems by Goethe and Fontane to music, collaborated with Jörg Fauser, and released his big hits "Aloha Heja He" and "Kuddel Daddel Du." And now? Reichel traveled to Namibia on a container ship and used this break to write about his life – from his beginnings in St. Pauli through the wild years on the road to the present day.
