The Manifesto of Pope Francis

On March 13, 2013, Jorge Mario Bergoglio SJ was elected as the 266th head of the Catholic Church. As Pope Francis, he has since initiated countless reforms in the Vatican and has brought the Church - despite all criticism - closer to the original message of Jesus Christ: What you have done to one of the least of these, you have done to me.

In March 2023, the election of Francis as pope will mark its 10th anniversary. On the occasion of this milestone, he has written 10 prayers that address the most pressing issues of our time and articulate requests on how we can reshape society so that it once again breathes the spirit of Jesus Christ and guarantees a good life in solidarity for all people on the planet.

He does not exclude the Church in this endeavor, expressing modern thoughts on the role of women in the Church. Pope Francis also intervenes in (military) politics, advocating for a vigorous end to all wars. "I ask in the name of God," these are ten programmatic, profoundly humanistic prayers that lead us towards peaceful coexistence - provided we are willing to pray them together.
