The enthusiastic ethnobotanist Wolf-Dieter Storl shares his unusual life story. He studies biology and has a promising career as a scientist ahead of him. However, during a secret research project, he realizes that he does not want to continue living this way. Storl decides to leave and exchanges his academic career for a life in nature: he wanders with Cheyenne shamans, meditates with the Sadhus of Shiva in India, works with Swiss mountain farmers, and becomes a gardener in an anthroposophical rural commune. Everywhere he goes, he meets individuals who introduce him to another world—a world steeped in legends, myths, and the healing powers of plants.
