Ich Bin Du

In "I Am You" - an inspiring combination of image and poetry book - the author and multimedia artist Anke Beier-Amani, born in Leipzig in 1966 and living in Berlin and Spain, presents a selection of her poems and lyrical texts created between 2016 and 2023, some of which have been translated into Spanish. In this work, the author explores various aspects of human existence, such as personal finitude, the fascination of nature, and the rediscovery of sexuality and love after the end of a long-term relationship. The texts reflect her fears, doubts, and longings, as well as her zest for life and the struggle for love, friendship, and respectful coexistence. The book also features illustrations that correspond in content and time with the texts, including works from painting created in collaboration with her life and artistic partner, painter and graphic artist Roland Beier, as well as her own photographs.
