Jonny Fischer describes the boy he once was as the black sheep of the family. Christened Jonathan, he grew up in a strict Christian home. There was no room for unconditional love. When Jonathan was ten, his father founded a radical religious community and divided the world into good and evil even more than before. Although Jonny Fischer turned his back on Jonathan the cult boy as a teenager, changed his name and started a new life at the teacher training seminar in Zug, he was never able to completely escape the imprint he had experienced in his childhood. Especially not when he began to admit to himself that he was attracted to men. No matter how hard he tried, he could not find what he was looking for. Jonny Fischer worked himself to exhaustion. The way out of the crisis led him into the darkest corners of his past and to the realisation that he had to seek recognition and love first and foremost from himself.
