This is a book that comedian Rolf Schmid and his writer Hardy Hemmi never wanted. Really, not at all. Not even in their dreams. They only wanted to jot down a few anecdotes from the almost completely normal life of trained baker-pastry chef and later comedian Rolf Schmid, and eventually, somehow, somewhere, bring these biographical episodes to the stage. That was the plan. But then it happened: overnight, the entire project took on a life of its own and gained momentum, like a rushing mountain stream in Graubünden after a thunderstorm. One story led to another, and then another followed – you know how it goes. Now the stories are presented in book form. And Rolf Schmid's almost normal life often turns out, in retrospect, to be miles away from any norm. Much of what seems hilariously funny from today's perspective was often anything but that back then. Yes, this is a funny book! Sometimes you laugh out loud, and sometimes you struggle with tears.
