A hot summer, a trip to the countryside, and an idyll that becomes a prison: "Dog Days" – the hottest days of summer. This is the time that the writer Alexander Sowtschick wants to spend at his beautiful estate in northern Germany. Alone, without his wife, and fully focused on his new work. But the planned idyll is thoroughly disrupted: a series of unforeseen events unfold – culminating in a murder. And Alexander Sowtschick finds himself increasingly approaching the depths of his own inner landscape.
