The two volumes "Human Biology" by Compendio provide insight into the structure and functioning of the human body. In this second volume, the nervous system, the sensory organs, the endocrine system, reproduction and the musculoskeletal system are discussed.
The book is oriented towards the learning content of biology as the basic subject of the Swiss Matura according to the Matura Recognition Regulations (MAR). It contains numerous colour illustrations, detailed learning objectives, summaries and a large number of exercises with annotated solutions as well as a comprehensive glossary and an overall summary at the end. "Human Biology 2" is complemented by "Human Biology 1", which contains an overview of the organ systems and deals with the organs of metabolism (digestion, respiration, excretion, blood circulation) and with the defence systems.
"Human Biology" is aimed at graduates of a baccalaureate school or a school for paramedical training. Together with the book "Biology: Basics and Cell Biology", it can be understood without prior knowledge of natural sciences.
