Impresiones is a Spanish textbook and workbook designed for adults learning Spanish at community colleges. The course and workbook consist of 12 lessons covering various topics with moderate progression and a step-by-step structure. It encourages self-discovery in learning phrases and grammar through diverse exercises and realistic, authentic dialogues.

The material focuses on targeted learning of grammar and phrases, with specific exercises to enhance language skills. Each lesson includes targeted vocabulary training as well as a learning task in the middle and at the end to apply and reinforce what has been learned. Additionally, there is a didactic page in each lesson dedicated to regional studies, along with related activities.

After every fourth lesson, there is a four-page magazine with games to reinforce the learning content, as well as additional listening and reading texts and an easily implementable project. The integrated workbook offers a variety of exercises, grammar notes and tips, additional vocabulary and phonetics exercises, as well as two portfolio exercises that include lesson vocabulary, alphabetical vocabulary, a systematic grammar overview, and transcriptions of the listening texts.

The interactive version includes a digital textbook for whiteboards, PC/Mac, and tablets, all audio files and films from the book accessible with the respective tasks, interactively implemented textbook exercises for classroom use or individual review, as well as an extensive toolbar with versatile functions for use on the whiteboard, such as highlighting, taking notes, and writing tools.
