Based on the guidelines for the examination regulations 2017 for HR professionals, this teaching material focuses on both competency orientation and foundational knowledge transfer. The systematic development of detailed knowledge is followed by knowledge transfer for the exam and practical application. In this first foundational volume, the cross-disciplinary fundamentals are presented: knowledge in Human Resources Management, knowledge of the education system, knowledge of the labor market, and economic relationships as well as business management contexts. Each chapter begins with a list of competencies to be demonstrated, ensuring relevance to the exam. A preparatory scenario from everyday HR practice helps students better contextualize the theory. This is followed by the theoretical section, which includes examples, notes, and key points. Next, there are review tasks to clarify the current level of knowledge. Additionally, adapted to the respective exam parts 1, 2, or 3, the book includes mini-cases or short case studies for exam preparation.
