How Santa Claus came to be his muddy friend

With great difficulty, Santa Claus has fought his way through a snowstorm. It is only when he reaches the village that he is shocked to discover the hole through which all the little presents have tumbled into the snow. How can he explain this to the disappointed children? Quite unexpectedly, the lonely woodcutter Ruprecht comes to his rescue. He has collected all the presents, and St. Nicholas' Day is saved. In the supposedly oddball loner Ruprecht, Santa finally finds the helper he has been looking for for so long. And the people in the village also straighten out their image of Ruprecht. Kathrin Siegenthaler's story pays tribute to Santa's faithful helper for a change. Marcus Pfister creates a magical winter atmosphere with soft colours and gently flowing patterns. Thanks to Regina Kuster Reich, the story by Kathrin Siegenthaler can also be read aloud in Swiss dialect.
