Product details
Vivienne Kamber, a young mother and wife, is hit by a car while jogging and fatally injured.
Her husband does not believe it was an accident. When the fugitive driver is not caught after several days, Roger Kamber calls in the Bülach private detective, Leon Bevilacqua.
Leon's girlfriend helps him to solve the case. In the process, she gets into great danger herself.
Good morning, Mr. Winter. Did you sleep well? She did not survive. A small child grows up without a
Mother."
"Hello, who are you?"
The unknown caller had already hung up.
With trembling hands, Finn put the phone receiver back on the station and sat down in the recliner, sighing. He clutched his forehead. His head was pounding. He had been suffering from a severe headache all sleepless night.
He got up, went to the kitchen and poured himself a glass of water, which he emptied halfway in one gulp. He took a packet of headache medicine from the kitchen cupboard, popped three tablets and washed them down with the remaining water. His neck was drenched in sweat as he lay backwards in bed, pressing the balls of his fists firmly against his aching temples.
A little later, the pain grew even worse. He would have preferred to run headlong into the bedroom wall.
After half an hour, the headache subsided, but his swollen eyes, soaked with tears, began to sting.
If only he could turn back the clock a few hours.
If only he had gone home right after work yesterday.
If only he hadn't joined his colleagues at the regulars' table.
He, who otherwise rarely resorted to alcohol, had another proper crash last night. The humid evening began with beer and ended with schnapps. At twenty-two o'clock he had climbed into his car and as if in a trance had
the short way from Bülach to Rümlang under the wheels as if in a trance.
