Narrative Expositionstherapie (NET)

Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET) is a brief, pragmatic, evidence-based method for treating Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder in victims of complex trauma, such as survivors of escape, torture, and child abuse. Unlike other forms of therapy, NET takes into account and reprocesses the patient's entire biography. This volume provides an overview of the method, addresses critical situations in therapy, and illustrates the procedure with a case example.
The basis of the procedure is the psychobiological memory theory of post-traumatic stress disorder, which enables an understanding of extreme forms of reaction.
