Exekutive Funktionen und Selbstregulation

Executive functions are the abilities that govern a person's thinking and actions, as well as regulate their emotions. In children, executive functions are not yet fully developed, but they already significantly influence learning performance and socio-emotional development. Many findings from the fields of psychology, cognitive neuroscience, and education suggest that executive functions play a key role in both learning and school success, as well as in relation to behavioral issues and disorders such as ADHD. This volume presents, for the first time, the central texts from Europe and the USA and places them within the local context. Additionally, this state-of-the-art work illustrates how the concrete transfer to educational and school practice can be achieved.
