The Occupational Therapy Practice Framework: Domain and Process (OTPF) systematically describes and explains the central concepts of occupational therapy practice, based on the knowledge and experience of association members, researchers, and practicing occupational therapists. Grounded in evidence, it outlines the scope and process of occupational therapy: How can health, well-being, and participation in life be achieved through engagement in activities? A fundamental assumption of occupational therapy identifies therapeutic activities as a means of healing illness and maintaining health.
