Learning in childhood primarily involves learning through perception and movement. Self-activity and initiative are essential prerequisites for children to explore the world, form an understanding of it, and reconstruct it for themselves. Movement and perception are the driving forces of development and simultaneously the foundation of learning. These considerations were the focus of the 4th Osnabrück Congress "Childhood in Motion."
