Der Geist der Mirabelle

In Bollerup, a village by the Baltic Sea, few people have names other than Feddersen. To occasionally distinguish themselves from one another, the residents have given themselves additional names: the Pliers, for example, Ham-Peter, the Cod, or the Turtle. As you can see, Bollerup has its peculiarities. Among them is undoubtedly the homemade mirabelle brandy. It produces strange, twisted thoughts, but also amazing ideas, and even shapes characters. And it is these characters that Siegfried Lenz tells about in these twelve stories, connecting them to his famous tales from Suleyken.
