Der Geist der Mirabelle

In Bollerup, a village by the Baltic Sea, few people have names other than Feddersen. To occasionally distinguish themselves from one another, the residents have given themselves nicknames: the Pliers, for example, Ham-Peter, the Cod, or the Turtle. As you can see, Bollerup has its peculiarities. Among them is undoubtedly the homemade mirabelle spirit. It produces strange, twisted thoughts, but also astonishing ideas; it even shapes characters. And it is about them that Siegfried Lenz tells in these twelve stories, connecting them to his famous tales from Suleyken.
