The teaching model opens up theodicy via decisive points of contact with the life world of young people, especially with the complex of suffering. It does not take refuge in theological abstraction, but makes it possible to articulate with Job absurd images of God and the senselessness of suffering, without having to renounce a certain form of consolation of religion. The teaching model has been developed and tested in the classroom. It contains numerous materials, e.g. copyable A4 worksheets, additional materials, a suggested exam, blackboard pictures, concrete assignments and guiding questions for the lesson. The topic is developed with leisure and depth.is oriented to the principles of exemplariness and scholarly reliability: The students acquire solid religious studies and exegetical basic knowledge of the book of Job. The volume is suitable for use at the end of the lower secondary level as well as in the upper secondary level due to its problem-free assignment to the Catholic and Protestant curricula.
