Product details

Hindi, by far the most important language in northern India, is not as difficult to learn as its lively foreign letters may suggest. Travelers in India who speak a few words of Hindi are quickly accepted as "dost" (friend) and have a clear advantage in price negotiations. And if you can't recall the right Hindi word, it's not a big deal to throw in an English term – Indians do that too.

Kauderwelsch language guides provide a quick introduction to foreign languages and offer interesting insights about the country and its people.

All foreign sentences in the book are translated not only meaningfully into German but also word-for-word. This makes it easier to understand the foreign language, and individual words can be quickly exchanged. The grammar is explained briefly and understandably, as far as necessary for simple language use. The dictionary at the end contains a basic vocabulary and important terms for travelers.

With QR codes/pronunciation examples: Smartphone users can listen to selected words, sentences, and phrases from the book.

Kauderwelsch books are much more than typical travel language guides. The goal is to be able to speak after a short time, even if it's not always perfect.

Kauderwelsch language guides by Reise Know-How: handy, practical for everyday use, available in over 150 languages.
