Hilflos - und andere Kurzgeschichten

This book contains 14 short stories. They are as diverse as people themselves. The stories revolve around individuals who need help, those who offer help, and those who do not. The title story captures this feeling: needing help and not receiving it. "Please help us! A boy has fallen off his bike. He is bleeding heavily. Please take him in your car! Get him to the hospital quickly!" the cyclists shout to him. Andreas shakes his head. "I can't. I have an important appointment. But I will call an ambulance." From the story "Helpless" by Rudy Kupferschmitt. These stories are short and therefore easy to read. Yet, in just a few pages, we encounter many intense emotions: hope and despair, joy and sorrow. The plot grabs the reader immediately. It's enjoyable and leaves you eager for the next story.
