The eleventh volume in the "Victimology and Victims' Rights" series published by WEISSER RING examines the rights of victims of terrorism to help and support. It examines the EU Victims' Rights Directive and the EU Directive on Combating Terrorism as well as Austrian criminal procedure law. Another focus is on compensation for victims of terrorism. In addition to an analysis of the Austrian Victims of Crime Act, the possibilities of compensating victims of terrorism are explored in comparative law. In addition, this volume examines the issue of official liability following a terrorist attack, which arises from the specific history of the attack in Vienna in 2020. The volume is rounded off by a report from the victim support organisation WEISSER RING on its employees working with victims of terror following the terrorist attack in Vienna in 2020.
