E ti, come sprichst du suisse?

The book "And you, how do you speak Swiss?" offers a deep insight into the multilingualism of Switzerland from the perspective of young people. This work gathers contributions from youths aged 16 to 21 who engaged with the theme of language as part of a writing competition. Their essays and poetry slam texts reflect the dynamic linguistic landscapes of the country and demonstrate how language shapes identity and home. The book is complemented by a photo series by Ruedi Baur, documenting visual installations in the four language regions of Switzerland. The included CD brings the voices of the different language regions to life acoustically and provides a unique access to the thoughts and feelings of the people. The SpraCHklang project, involving several composers, deepens the understanding of the role of language in everyday life and allows readers to immerse themselves in the diverse soundscapes of Switzerland.
