It's Monday evening. The luxurious St. Gregory Hotel in New Orleans is bustling with activity. Everything is running like clockwork: at the reception, on the floors, in the bar, in the kitchen, and in the basement. One could be satisfied. But beneath the shiny surface, tensions are brewing: in this glamorous world of the beautiful and the wealthy, passions, love, and intrigues intertwine. As if that weren't enough, the St. Gregory is facing financial difficulties. Not only is the hotel owner Warren Trent affected, but his attractive assistant Christine and the honorable manager Peter McDermott must also stake everything on one card to save the hotel.
