The dedicated entrepreneur Claudia is on the verge of fulfilling her big dream: to become the mayor of her hometown in southern Germany. Suddenly, her eighteen-year-old daughter Anouk appears in the midst of radical climate activists, ends up in jail, and even causes a police raid at their home – all of which is a goldmine for the media. Claudia's candidacy is at risk, the reputation of the car dealership she has been running for three generations is damaged, and customers are staying away. Her mother Marianne, the secret "boss" of the company, also undermines Claudia's plans. Instead of supporting his wife, husband Martin becomes an unpredictable adversary.
