Content: The youth book "Today We're Going to Get Really Wasted!" deals with teenagers' relationship with alcohol: from pre-gaming before the party to binge drinking. On a class trip, 14-year-old Lennart comes into contact with alcohol for the first time: his classmate Jakob mixes energy drinks with vodka. At first, Lennart is outraged by the alcohol abuse, but soon he becomes part of Jakob's cool clique, not least because he gets closer to the otherwise quiet Martha over a liqueur or schnapps. Even though he is not thrilled by the intoxication and the hangover afterward, he now drinks alcohol at their gatherings, as it lifts the mood. He can only smile tiredly at his parents' warnings about binge drinking: everyone drinks a little too much on the weekends. But then, during a fight, Lennart challenges his best friend to a drinking contest.
