Herrenhaus und Bürgerschloss Bredeneek

This guide to Bredeneek Manor House and Bourgeois Castle aims to draw attention to the many large and small conspicuous, but also partly inconspicuous, hidden impressions that are encountered on a tour and are waiting to be noticed. The castle itself is located north of Preetz in the municipality of Lehmkuhlen. It is a manor house in the neoclassical style that was given its present form in 1898-1902. As an outstanding cultural monument, it is listed. With its predominantly renovated 2700 square metres of usable space and the 6-hectare park with representative old trees, the castle has great and special potential for multifunctional use. The central Art Nouveau-style main hall with its barrel-vaulted skylight and the 'Kaulbach Hall' with colossal paintings from the life of Emperor Charlemagne, together with the other representative rooms, offer a special atmosphere.
