Product details

Many people are aware of the human-made causes of climate change and its negative effects, yet they do not change their behavior towards a more climate-friendly lifestyle. The study shows how the motivational problem that arises here could be overcome by developing a climate-friendly attitude. It draws on the Aristotelian-Thomistic concept of virtue and relates it to newer theories of the good. It becomes clear that the classical cardinal virtues can describe an attitude that is not only beneficial for the environment but also highly attractive to the individual.
