Henry Oliver Jakobs

This is the story of a loving childhood, of a son who grows up sheltered in the circle of his family. However, as a boy from Hamburg, Oliver was already wandering the Reeperbahn at the age of seven and thus came into contact with drugs and alcohol very early on – his life began to change. He quickly developed a self-willed business sense and built a small enterprise based on criminal activities. He knew that what he was doing was wrong, but he did it anyway. He never faced any consequences in any way.

Until that day when a nasty argument broke out with two business partners. In that moment, Oliver immediately realized: These insults and humiliations must be punished. And so he devised a plan to kill them.

Today, he can no longer comprehend those thoughts. But back then, he was a completely different person. At the next meeting, he shot at the two, killing one and seriously injuring the other.

After being sentenced to life imprisonment, his transformation began in prison. He could not and did not want to continue like that. After 19 years in prison, he was finally released.

Today, he visits schools and other educational institutions, sharing his life story, addressing bullying, and educating about drugs and other criminal acts. This work is his calling; here he can make a difference and guide some people onto a better path, because crime does not pay; for most, it leads to prison or the grave!.
