Booklet of Notes for Anna Magdalena Bach 1725, Piano for Two Hands

Bach gifted his wife Anna Magdalena two handwritten music notebooks. The second of these was particularly valuable, featuring a parchment-covered binding with gold edges. In this little book from 1725, he noted numerous piano pieces in a variety of styles - both his own and those of other composers. The Henle Urtext edition, which is among the best-selling titles in our catalog each year, faithfully reproduces the entire content of this manuscript with excellent hand engraving, except for the movements from the "French Suites" and "Partitas" included in the notebook, which can be found elsewhere in the Henle catalog.
