Product details
A global network is essential for the profiling of an academic discipline such as German Studies, especially in a country like Australia, where the geostrategic position does not inherently support a strong focus on German studies in the same way as in Europe. The Australian Yearbook for German Literary and Cultural Studies, Limbus, aims to address this need. The goal is to further profile Australian German Studies in the academic community, while also providing a specific Australian forum for international scholarly discourse. Each annual volume will focus on a thematic emphasis determined by the editors, and contributions will not be limited to Germanists working only in Australia. This periodical, first published in 2008, regularly features scholarly articles as well as reviews of new scientific publications in German literary and cultural studies. An internationally composed Scientific Advisory Board supports the editors of the yearbook. Contributions come from Manuel Bauer, Maria Becker, Ines Böker, Nursan Celik, Axel Fliethmann, Silvan Kufner, Ksenia Kuzminykh, Alexandra Ludewig, Stephan Resch, and Eugen Wenzel.
