Product details

In Hot Air Engines VIII the Stirling principle was described in detail and easily understandable by means of 11 different hot air engines. Now follow the engines that have been designed and built by the author since then. The main emphasis, however, is on the two-cylinder Stirling engines, the last two of which are now available as sets of drawings. These engines are not very reminiscent of a classic Stirling engine from the outside, yet they all work exactly according to the good old Stirling principle. There seem to be two flavours. One favours machines with as many moving parts as possible, the other simpler engines with the most elegant appearance possible. The author has aimed for the simple design of the two two-cylinder engines presented and the result is the very good running boxer engine and the quite strong V-engine. Absolutely copy!.
