Product details
Heidelberg Parent Training Early Language Promotion - an empirically based early intervention program for language development. It is clearly recommended for use with late talkers in the interdisciplinary S3 guideline for the therapy of speech development disorders (AWMF 2022). In 7 group sessions, parents and caregivers learn to create an optimal linguistic environment for their child, utilize opportunities for language-promoting interaction and communication in everyday life, and purposefully enhance shared reading and book viewing.
The HET has been scientifically positively evaluated: both three and nine months after the parent training, significant improvements in the children's language development were observed. 77% of the HET group, compared to 43% of the control group, had caught up with their language delay. The positive effects on vocabulary, grammar, and language comprehension of the children persist into elementary school age.
New in the 4th edition: Integration of the Heidelberg Parent Training for global developmental disorders, fully updated and revised. The book is suitable for professionals in speech therapy, early intervention and early counseling, social pediatrics, psychology, and special education in training and practice.
