Heidelberg-Schwarzwald-Bodensee-Radweg

In the mountainous south-west of Germany, the Heidelberg-Black Forest-Lake Constance cycle path takes you across Baden-Württemberg over a distance of 300\ kilometres. The well-signposted and steep route leads through quiet, often rural regions, past medieval half-timbered towns and defiant fortifications, impressive natural spectacles and numerous cultural and historical treasures. You start in the old university town of Heidelberg. Through the hilly landscape of the Kraichgau region, you reach the "gold town" of Pforzheim. On the extensive section in the eastern Black Forest, you cycle through tranquil river meadows, over panoramic heights and through shady valleys. Towards the end of the cycle tour, you will pass through the castle-rich Hegau region with its fascinating volcanic cones and reach Germany's largest lake, Lake Constance, on the foothills of the Alps after marvellous descents.
