Heidelberg-Schwarzwald-Bodensee-Radweg

In the mountainous southwest of Germany, the Heidelberg-Schwarzwald-Bodensee cycle path takes you on a journey of over 300 kilometers across Baden-Württemberg. This well-signposted and hilly route leads through tranquil, often rural areas, past medieval timber-framed towns and sturdy fortifications, impressive natural spectacles, and numerous cultural and historical treasures. You start in the ancient university town of Heidelberg. Through the hilly landscape of Kraichgau, you will reach the "Golden City" of Pforzheim. On the extensive section in the eastern Black Forest, you will cycle through serene river meadows, over scenic heights, and through shady valleys. Towards the end of your cycling journey, you will traverse the castle-rich Hegau with its fascinating volcanic cones and, after delightful descents, reach Germany's largest lake, Lake Constance, at the foothills of the Alps.
