Hegau literarisch. Ein Spaziergang durc

"My Hegau, how beautiful you are!" wrote Joseph Victor von Scheffel. He is not the only poet to sing the praises of this homeland. The former Carolingian county of Hegau is a land of poets, with every floor soaked in legends and songs. Even early travel tourism left its mark. Michel de Montaigne, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, and Victor Hugo were among these pilgrims. Later, refugees from civilization settled here, including Hermann Hesse, Ludwig Finckh, and later Werner Dürrson. But locals like Jacob Picard, Hermann Kinder, Markus Werner, Bruno Epple, and Alissa Walser also praised this patch of Alemannic soil. For the first time, the literary Hegau is explored in a comprehensive anthology that crosses borders.
