Midwives professionally support women during pregnancy and childbirth, extending their care into the postpartum period. In addition to normal pregnancies, midwives also assist women facing health and obstetric complications. They skillfully assess these situations and phenomena and take appropriate interventions in collaboration with obstetricians. However, this important work of midwives is often unrecognized and remains invisible in everyday life. This book aims to make the professional actions of midwives visible and to provide a language for them, making their work understandable, communicable, and accessible. This midwifery work significantly contributes to improving the bond between mother, father, and child in a time marked by fears and separation. The book also discusses midwifery-related phenomena such as loss situations, grief, fear, and uncertainty.
