For more than 25 years, the "Flora Helvetica" has been the reference work on botany in Switzerland. Although it is constructed in a scientific manner and conforms to the APG standard, the work also meets the requirements of less experienced plant enthusiasts.

In particular, all the flowering plants and wild flowers in Switzerland are illustrated with one or two excellent colour photographs and described in a concise text. The description of the species includes the scientific name in German, French, Italian and Romansh, the most important characteristics, the ecological requirements, the frequency and the distribution.quence and distribution in Switzerland, as well as other information such as the level of danger, toxicity, pharmaceutical use and legal protection.

The 6th edition has been completely revised one more time and takes into account around 40 additional new plants.
