The publication 'dieDASdocs' presents the inaugural volume of the new series from dieDAS – Design Academy Saaleck, showcasing the results of the dieDAS Fellowship cycle 2023 and the subsequent symposium. Under the artistic direction of the renowned American architect Germane Barnes, this specialized book explores complex monument issues in an international context. It addresses pressing societal challenges such as racism, nationalism, social inequality, and climate injustice. Additionally, the publication offers a historical overview of the development of dieDAS, illustrated through essays, interviews, and statements that outline the collaborative approach and vision of the nonprofit foundation.
