Politeness, consideration, readiness to help, punctuality – why are such values important for a classroom community and beyond? What happens when a student deliberately ignores them? This reading provides an opportunity to engage with social interactions within the class. The two main characters, the reserved Robert and the cheeky Monsterboy, offer numerous points of connection.

Robert is horrified when his new classmate enters the room: dressed all in black, with a terrible chain and a grim look. The boy, who only calls himself Monsterboy, behaves completely inappropriately. Nevertheless, he is revered as a cool hero – until he goes too far at the school festival and everyone turns against him. At that moment, it is Robert who finds the courage to give Monsterboy a second chance. Because he knows: the newcomer has a completely different side as well.

Judith Le Huray manages to address the topic of "good behavior" in an age-appropriate manner and without a condescending tone. The entertaining story and the humorous, comic-style illustrations will delight your students!
