The cult series was created in 1971 by Roger Hargreaves, who developed over 80 different characters before his untimely death. His son Adam now continues the series, with new titles being released continuously to this day. The characters are brilliantly simple yet incredibly expressive, appealing, humorous, and pointed, creating a highly humorous cosmos of various human traits and characteristics. Mr. Men Little Miss is one of the most successful children's book series of recent decades and has been published in a new German translation by Susanna Rieder Verlag since 2010.
