The author team: Prof. Dr. Michaela Sambanis holds the chair for English Didactics at the Free University of Berlin. She trains teachers and researches how we can learn languages successfully and happily. She combines neuroscience, psychology, and didactics with science and practice. Dr. Christian Ludwig is currently a visiting professor for English Didactics at the Free University of Berlin, where he trains future teachers. A major focus of his work, alongside literature and cultural didactics, is promoting the mental health of both teachers and learners in language education.
