Mechatronik

Mechatronics is the science of intelligently linking solution elements from the fields of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering/electronics and computer science. The goal of mechatronics is to achieve the specified functionality of a system in a synergetic way, taking into account restrictive boundary conditions as optimally as possible. The examples of mechatronic systems are numerous: driver assistance systems in motor vehicles, active vibration protection systems, sensor-guided robots, modern machine tools, micromechanical devices in medical technology and many more. This textbook and reference book describes the methods for analyzing mechatronic systems and the various components for their synthesis. The presentation includes contributions on sensor and actuator technology, signal and process data processing, and the modelling and control of mechatronic systems.
