25 Years of the Kangaroo CompetitionThe 5th volume of Math with Kangaroo contains the most interesting and beautiful problems to be solved in the international mathematics competition from 2015 to 2019.The goal of the Kangaroo competition is to whet children's and young people's appetites for mathematics. The tasks and problems, many of which are set in the students' lifeworld, are cheerful and challenging, and incidentally give an impression of the diversity and practical benefits of mathematics. The participants - children and young people from all types of schools - are eager and happy to take part, and often do so again every year. The focus is on the fun of mathematics, and at the end there are only winners.The Kangaroo competition has been around for 25 years - and no longer just in Europe, where it all began. Once a year, schoolchildren in Asia, America and Africa also try their hand at the diverse, lovingly designed multiple-choice problems. They are an attractive addition to lessons and are also fun to do at home with family and friends. You too can get carried away!
