Volume 3 of this successful textbook contains a collection of exercises that complement and deepen the content of Volumes 1 and 2.

It is assumed that the fundamental exercises from Volumes 1 and 2 have been thoroughly worked through, so the exercises in Volume 3 are mostly of a higher difficulty level. They require a systematic approach to problem-solving and are intended to stimulate problem-oriented thinking; in this context, teamwork in small groups can be particularly valuable.

Some exercises are suitable in scope to be worked on as a "mini-project" by such a small group and presented in a seminar-style course.

Many exercises establish practical connections to various fields of electrical engineering, ranging from the function of a smoke detector to the protective circuitry of CMOS outputs, to electromagnetic interference under high-voltage lines, or to the permanent magnets of a modern wind turbine generator. A glossary facilitates the retrieval of such exercises.

New in the 4th edition: Solutions previously processed with PSpice have been converted to MATLAB.
