Hans Erich (Eric) Hollmann (November 4, 1899 - November 19, 1960) was a German electronics specialist who achieved several breakthroughs in radar development. Hollmann was born in Solingen, Germany. He was interested in radio and subscribed to the technical magazines of the time as a teenager. Towards the end of World War I, he was captured by the French and did not return to Germany until 1920. He then studied at the Technical University of Darmstadt, where he earned his doctorate in 1928.
