Hans Hinkel (June 22, 1901, in Worms, Grand Duchy of Hesse - February 8, 1960, in Göttingen) was a German journalist and civil servant in Nazi Germany. Hinkel, who joined the NSDAP in 1921 and served in the Freikorps, was editor of the Völkischer Beobachter in Berlin from 1930 to 1932. After the Nazis came to power in 1933, he became the organizational leader of the League for German Culture and managing director of the Reich Chamber of Culture.
