Corporate valuations are often referred to as the "king discipline" of business administration. This assessment can only be agreed upon. In hardly any other area of business administration do so many sub-disciplines converge simultaneously. Regularly, conducting corporate valuations, as well as reading or interpreting existing corporate valuations, requires comprehensive knowledge of investment and financing theory, national and international tax law and commercial law, and not least, industry-specific and cross-industry market developments, to name just a few aspects. The aim of this handbook is to provide readers with a scientifically grounded yet practical reference work to create and/or interpret corporate valuations appropriately. As in the previous two editions, the focus of the handbook is on practice-oriented preparations, application-oriented tips, and numerous examples and illustrations that aim to facilitate understanding of the complex topic of corporate valuation. In addition to updating existing topics with recent case law and current developments in science and practice regarding corporate valuation, the authors of this handbook also address new topics that are regularly discussed in practice.
