So-called "flying structures" play a major role in everyday life: temporary architecture, such as grandstands, airdomes or stage structures, is being used more and more frequently. Recently, the legislator has reformed the associated regulations. The two practitioners Dr. Roland Ondra (static calculations) and Hartmut H. Starke (building regulations) extract from the confusing technical standards and rules the important aspects for the safe handling of "flying structures" from the perspective of the event industry.
