In addition to the more than 330 opera texts in the standard work, Robert Maschka presents a selection of popular and important highlights from the operetta repertoire on around 50 pages. The tried and tested form of presentation of the "Handbook of Opera" is applied to the operettas.

The operetta has always been a beloved child on the smaller theatre stages and has also long since arrived at the state theatres.
